The initial goal of this installation was to make a piece of music that react with the sound of my confinement during the 2020 Covid-19 crisis.
I figured that I should amplify the vibrations of my apartment: I or my neighbors walking, a big truck passing by, the washing machine... Everything that creates vibrations.

I put a hollow-body jazz guitar on the floor, which I prepared with a plastic straw to enhance some vibrations. The guitar was plugged into a modular synthesizer, and then two loops : one plugged in a reverb unit and one another plugged into a small speaker put on the open-chamber of the jazz guitar. That way, the original vibrations react to themselves too.

I recorded live for 40 minutes what happened, while I tweaked the sound directly on the modular synth. At the end, I kept 16 minutes of it and here they are. I'm satisfied by the result, as some really interresting things emerged from the improv. Of course, it still is raw spectralism and some frequencies are quite extreme. You've been warned!
